Hey

I am in pretty good spirit today and have decided to fool around a bit with one of my favourite unheard-of song. I've always liked songs that have never hit the charts which makes them rare and priceless!

I am elated today because an old friend is treating me dinner for my birthday!

Gonna dress up just for it. Feels so effin' good to be appreciated!

(Hey by Bic Runga)

Seagull

Challenge proposed and challenge delivered! Well okay, it's not like he dared me but, rather it's a kind request from Jeff to butcher cover this classic number.

Dear Jeff,

(Maleficient tone) Well well... your request is finally delivered as promised. I was worried at first, that I might not be able to strum out the correct tune due to my limitation of guitar chords. Haiz... what to do? Self-taught ma. Instead, I was lucky they were fairly simple and even gave me room to improvise.

Though I can't read nor write in Chinese to survive in China, but once I get what the words mean, they will forever be stuck in my head. The lyrics were truly inspiring and encouraging. I like the metaphor behind it and I am truly grateful to you for introducing this beautiful song.

Did you know the singer, Judy Ongg was actually from Taiwan who later changed her nationality to Japanese? After YouTube hopping on her other songs, I was impressed with her ability to sing in Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese. She is stunningly beautiful!

Anyway and anyhow, here is my version of
海鷗. I hope it won't destroy the fond memories you have associated with this song.

Sincerely,
CP.

Who Do You Think You Are?

It's funny.

Every time I try to reinvent myself, I end up telling lies. Lies that fuels my inability to identify myself. This vicious cycle of constant reinvention is clear evidence of a person struggling with an identity crisis. It is a sick internal war I have with myself which, is far worse than a break-up or getting fired at work.

The pattern?

I start a fresh blog. I start off being personal, with factual events and some unfiltered self-indulgence. I try to be transparent without prejudice. But gradually I become overly cautious, I begin to censor myself. I question my thoughts because I worry how they will be perceived. I then edit and manipulate the outcome to appear desirable and idealistic. And eventually the number of entries decreases, they become short and ambiguous. I become extremely private while deep down, I am crying for acceptance.

The fix?

I am not sure. But I am very sure that if I care too much on what others think of me or how they treat me, I will be putting too much emphasis on things I have no control over when I should be putting emphasis on what I have real power over - myself. I can and should define myself and let the world take me as I am or leave me be. Even the most extreme personalities can find a niche in this world.

The finding?

Unless you come to terms with who you really are, you will never be truly appreciated and remembered no matter how successful or good-looking you've become. People respond well to authentic, genuine people, even if they are odd.

Sorry it took me so long.

Year Of The Black Snake

I am still around you know?
Though I am no longer active,
I still read your blog.
You know who you are.

I am not really sure why I've stopped blogging. It's a transition no doubt, but I think it is mainly because I am no longer single. It has been this way for almost a year now. I have been devoting most of my energy and attention on him. What's left, I use them here and the rest, I spend it on myself. I still sing, I still play the guitar and I still write mental notes. I am just not actively displaying it. And oh yeah, I still play with my prick too even when there's someone devoting himself to it now. It's perfectly normal I think. But he doesn't know I exist here. I would still like to have this private space to myself at the end of the day, especially when he's not around and I have thoughts that need to be ironed out.

Well... until I am really sure of what I want out of this cheesy blog, I am leaving this note in good faith that you will still be around when I am back.

Gong Xi Fa Lan Cai to all you pricks out there!
Happy fucking Valentine's and whatever yeah?
(Fucking is referred to as great sex and not cursing)

Till then, I love each and everyone of you!

If you miss me, you can always write me at the email address on the right column. What? You mean you've never noticed it until NOW? You prick!

Repressed Passion

It's like I've been robbed of my blogging privilege. When inspired, blogging becomes unavailable and when I am allowed, nothing encouraging comes to mind. How effin' ironic!

Took up a 2-month contract job and ended up with an advance increment and permanent employment offer. Is this really what I want after being so disgusted with working on a daily basis, countless late nights and the appalling notion of using Adobe software again?

I should have plenty of qualms but I am pleasantly surprised that I actually love my current job, even if it means going back to work over the weekends. Perhaps I've learned that without monetary assistance, I will never be able to achieve my dream of leaving this country for good.

Till something better comes up, I am glad that work has kept me from thinking of my indefinite longing to be with someone. Yeah, I am a hopeless romantic. It's evident in most of the songs I put up here.

Cinta oh cinta! Where Art Thou menyorok?

Happy 1st Anniversary!

Guess what? It's been exactly 1 year since I made this little petpet blog. I want to remember this day as it is also the installation of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah in Malaysia. (Totally no connection to this blog)

So to commemorate the 1st anniversary of Chinese Prick, I've uploaded a video. Err... it's kinda irrelevant coz I wasn't prepared for this so I simply whack only. Wasn't even serious with the singing either. Was rather annoyed with the talking MTV more than anything else.

But I do know the new blog cover is totally relevant to Chinese Prick! Be kind with your comments kay?

Lastly, on such a short existence, my blog has garnered more than 8,000 visits. That really says something. You guys are totally awesome in lending your support to Chinese Prick!

Oh, as a footnote; I am glad I got one step closer to knowing someone personally.

WANNA DO, JUST DO IT DUN HESITATE!

Merry Christmas

Instead of being a time of unusual behaviour, Christmas is perhaps the only time in the year when people can obey their natural impulses and express their true sentiments without feeling self-conscious and, perhaps, foolish. Christmas, in short, is about the only chance a man has to be himself.
Francis C. Farley

Merry Christmas to all you readers! Remember to tell your mum you love her okay?

Kiss your pet for me and tongue your lover if you have one :)

My Temporary Happiness

It was an amazing spectacle. The sun softly kindled the dreamy purple sky at the wake of dawn and suddenly, spasmodic bolts streamed through the orange cumulus as the moon bids adieu to another new beginning.

That's usually how long moments of bliss lasts. They are unjustly short but worth the while.

What was your longest? Orgasms do not count yeah...

It's this Early

Shhh... Do you hear that? That's the sound of my own soft breathing. The sound of everything you do not hear when the world is wide awake and buzzing to life's rat race. If you listen closely, you can even hear Teacher's snoring. That low hum like a midnight motor that can dull even the sharpest mind. (Mind me, I tend to talk poetically when the mood calls)

I am pretty proud of myself last Sunday for having made a scrumptious dinner for TL and 66 only to find out later that CL and DK were invited over. With just enough ingredients for three, I was worried food was inadequate. The menu was just Herbal Chicken Soup, Stir-fry Broccoli and Ma Gu Gai (Fresh mushrooms cooked with chicken). Dinner was punctual and I had just enough time in between for a quick shower after the greasy ordeal. I came out feeling refreshed and was pleasantly surprised by Teacher's presence (Thank God he came after his dinner).

It's funny now that I am cooking again, I realised I've never cooked for Teacher. But, I am glad I didn't as he is most fastidious when it comes to food. I fear my cooking may not hold his approval. Guess what? He loved it! (Fuck! 10 points earned!)

It was lovely to see CL and DK again. Even lovelier to find out this time, my cooking has improved tremendously. Everything was full of flavour and cooked to the correct firmness. So was the soup that TL had fun boiling for long hours since noon only to be discovered by CL that a weird looking herb swimming in her soup bowl was actually a rubber band! Yuck! Somehow, a blunder from TL like this does not surprise me at all.

I had time to quickly snap my masterpiece. Please excuse the bad quality as lighting was poor and it was shot from my cheap phone.

Stir-fry Broccoli

Mushroom Chicken with Carrots
Dang! These pictures doesn't do my cooking justice at all! The Mushroom Chicken looks like my dog's vomit.

Oh well, I am contented anyway because everyone finished everything on the plate except me. I am not sure if this is natural but, I have a weird case of never having the appetite to eat what I cook. Especially when proper meals are concerned. I've always been puzzled by this and my best excuse is that I've mentally stuffed my tummy during the process of cooking. All I did was sit at one corner and smiled as I watched them savour the dishes.

Do you lose your appetite over your own cooked food too?
